The Caribbean Broadcasting Union is pleased to partner with the Public Media Alliance (formerly the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association) to invite entries for the PMA Climate Change category of the 2017 CBU Caribbean Broadcasting Awards.
The Award has been launched to recognise and incentivise outstanding multimedia journalism in response to climate change and its effects on the natural and cultural heritage of the Caribbean.
The PMA supports and encourages the key values of public media worldwide with a focus on multiplatform content that successfully engages the public in critical issues for our shared future.
And in line with the CBU’s expansion to include a broad spectrum of media players, entrants are encouraged to submit original multimedia productions: television, radio, print and digital, that were published by a CBU member, between January and December 2017. Entries should focus on the past, present or future impacts of climate change and fossil fuel use. Eligible material may also cover renewable energy, urban responses and disaster recovery.
