The CBU in partnership with the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition and UNAIDS is pleased to present a workshop on Reporting on Key Populations Issues Implications for HIV Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support.
The training event is scheduled for October 26 at the Normandie Hotel and Conference Centre in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
This one-day workshop will address the issues related to key population groups, HIV prevention, treatment care and support and the best practices in reporting on the issues as part of the media’s role in making the Caribbean an AIDS-free region.
The Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition (CVC) is partnering with the CBU to inaugurate a new category in the Caribbean Broadcasting Awards in the area of: Excellence in Coverage of Progress and/or Challenges in Key Populations’ Access to Health and HIV Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support. This one-day workshop seeks to engender such coverage on television, radio and print/digital media.
Interested persons are asked to complete the pre-workshop survey and the application form and submit to the CBU Secretariat no later than Friday, October 6, 2017.
The workshop is open to all interested participants who meet the criteria in the Call for Participation. However, representatives of CBU members in good standing will enjoy a waiver of the USD 75.00 registration fee.
